Spending longer in Turkiye than a visa or the 90-day visa-free period allows? A short-term residence permit (ikamet izni) is applied for online on e-İkamet, followed by an appointment with original documents. It is issued for up to two years at a time, and extensions are filed in the 60 days before expiry, never after. The migration authority also warns about fake documents sold by intermediaries, so stick to official channels.
